1/2 lb. butter (room temperature)
2 cups unbleached flour
2 cups chopped pecans
5 Tbls sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbls water
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and add sugar, vanilla and water. Sift flour and salt together and stir into mixture. Add pecans and mix thoroughly. Use a portion about the size of a walnut shell. Bake at 325º about 20 minutes. While warm, roll in powder sugar.

I place powdered sugar in a brown lunch bag and place a few cookies in the bag and carefully shake. You can also form these cookies in a crescent shape.
