1 lb/ butter
6 eggs, at room temperature
1 lb. powder sugar
1 lb. cake flour ( Softsilk or Swans cake flour)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar 1/2 at a time, add 3 eggs, cream some more. Add the other 1/2 of sugar and other 3 eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour slowly beating as you go. When all flour is in beat faster until all mixed.

Grease and flour pans. Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Check after 1 hour with toothpick. If comes out clean then it is done. If not 10 more minutes.

I use either powder sugar sprinkled on top or for Easter I make the bunny and use the butter cream frosting.
