1 C. cornmeal
1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. whole wheat flour
1 /4 C. sugar ( can use part Splenda)
1/4 C. oil (can use part applesauce)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 C. milk (I use skim)
1 egg (can use egg substitute)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Stir together dry ingredients in medium mixing bowl. Add oil, egg and milk. Stir. Pour into greased 8" x 8" baking dish or pie plate. Bake 15-20 minutes till lightly browned and toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Serve warm with butter, honey or syrup. This is good as a side to pot roast.
