Foolproof Standing Rib Roast Recipe

1 Rib Roast - any weight
Dry rub of kosher salt/ground pepper/garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Allow roast to stand at room temperature for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375º
Rub roast with dry rub; place roast on a rack in a shallow pan with the rib side down and the fatty side up.
Roast for 1 hour.
Turn off the oven.
Leave roast in oven for 3 hours - DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN DOOR.
Turn the oven back on to 375º and cook the roast for 35 minutes.
Turn oven up to 450º for Yorkshire pudding.
Take the roast out of the oven and close the oven door. Get the grease from the bottom of the pan for the Yorkshire pudding.
Cover the roast and let it stand while Yorkshire pudding cooks -approx 15 to 20 minutes.
