1 quart vinegar
3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. mixed pickling spice
3 tbsp. turmeric
4 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. mustard
2 c. sugar
4-5 chopped celery stalks
12 chopped sweet red peppers
12 chopped green peppers
1 ½ qt. chopped onions
2 ½ qt. chopped cabbage
2 ½ qt. chopped green tomatoes

Mix small amount of vinegar with flour and turmeric to make paste. Pour remaining vinegar into large kettle. Bring to a boil. Add paste, stirring constantly; cook until smooth and thickened. Tie pickling spice in cloth bag. Add spice bag and remaining ingredients to vinegar mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; boil for 40 minutes. Remove cloth bag. Pour relish into hot sterilized jars and seal.
