For crust combine dry ingredients. Cut in brown sugar and butter until crumbly. Add egg and almonds. Blend with pastry blender or fork. Reserve generous 1/2 C of dough for topping and chill. Press remaining dough into bottom and sides of 8 inch pie pan. Fill with cream filling. Top with raspberry sauce. Roll out chilled dough on floured cutting board to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 1/2 inch strips with pizza cutter. Arrange over filling in criss-cross lattice pattern. Press edges to seal.
Cream Filling: Beat egg until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Gradually ad sugar: beat until thick and lemon colored. Blend in flour and salt. Cover and continue cooking 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add vanilla, let cool.
