1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 egg white
pecan or walnut halves
cinnamon sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Slowly add flour, mixing in very well. Add well beaten egg; mix thoroughly. Chill overnight. Roll out very thin, cut with pastry wheel into diamonds or whatever desired shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with lightly beaten egg white. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Press nut into center of each. Bake at 350º for about 10 minutes. Watch timing carefully.
