1 box chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup margarine, melted
2/3 cup evaporated milk (one 5 oz. can), divided
1 bag caramels, unwrapped
1 cup walnuts, chopped, divided
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Combine remaining milk, cake mix, and margarine. Mix well.
Press half of cake mixture into bottom of greased 13x9 glass baking dish.
Bake for 6 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and 3/4 cup walnuts over baked crust. Pour caramel mixture over the top, spreading to the edges of the dish.
Use the palms of your hands to flatten out the remaining cake mixture a small amount at a time and place over the caramel until covered - kind of like a puzzle.
Sprinkle with remaining walnuts and press gently down.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Cool, refrigerate, and cut into squares to serve.
