1 gallon water for a turkey or 1 gallon apple juice for a ham
1 c salt
2 c brown sugar
1/2 c maple syrup
2 medium onions coarsely chopped
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 squeezed lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a clean cooler or 5 gallon bucket. Container must be large enough so the meat is fully covered by the brine mixture. Keep in a cool place, may add ice if needed. Let meat sit in brine for 24 hours.
