1 (8 oz.) package of cream cheese, softened
1 stick of unsalted butter, softened
1/2 to 1 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
Directions:
With an electric mixer on medium speed beat together the cream cheese and butter until well blended and smooth. Add 1/2 c. of powdered sugar, blend well and taste. If the spread is not sweet enough to your liking gradually add more by the tablespoon. Stir in vanilla extract. Keep chilled until ready to use.

This is great on bagels or french toast and can also be warmed on the stovetop or microwave and used as a dip for fruit.
