1 (4 cup) bag of frozen mixed berries or 4 cups of any single (frozen or fresh) or mixed berries.
1/2 cup sugar or Xylitol (Sweetener) or to taste.
1/2 cup water,
1 T. corn starch disolved in 1/4 cup water.

Directions:
Directions:
Place berries in sauce pan add sugar and 1/2 cup water, bring to boil. Cook slowly for about 8 min. until berries are soft. Smash gently with masher. Add corn starch disolved in water slowly, stirring constantly, return to boil for 2 minutes. Then cool mixture and refrigerate or freeze.

Berry sauces are great on pancakes, french toast, waffles, or ice cream. Experiment with a variety of berries. We use strawberry, boysenberry, blueberry, elderberry, gooseberry, huckleberry and a mix of them all. They are all healthy for you and delicious.
