1 cup butter,
1 1/2 cup sugar,
3 unbeaten eggs,
1 tsp. vanilla,
4 1/2 cups flour,
1 tsp. soda,
1/4 tsp. nutmeg.
Redhot candies

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and soda together and add to first mixture. Chill about 1 hour in refrigerator.
When ready to bake roll about 1/4 in thick and cut with 2 inch cookie cutter. Dust surface of cook dough with sugar and place a redhot in the center.
