3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sifted, all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Honey-Lemon Syrup:

1 cup honey
1 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice

Prepare cookie batter:

Cream together butter and sugar, adding eggs one at a time and beating well after each addition. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; add to batter. Stir in milk and orange peel. Beat well and blend in nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13" pan. Bake at 350º oven for 30 minutes or until done. Remove from oven.
Meanwhile, as cake bakes, prepare honey syrup; simmer honey, water and sugar together for 5 minutes. Skim and add lemon juice; simmer 2 additional minutes. Cool. Pour syrup over cookies; refrigerate and cut into diamonds to serve.
