2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º F. Grease 2-8inch pans.
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and sugar in a bowl.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender till it resembles corn meal. Add all milk and mix till it forms a dough ball. Turn out dough onto a floured surface, knead 14 times. Roll out till 1/2 inch think. Cut into 2 inch rounds and place in pans with edges touching. Bake for 15-20 minutes, till golden brown. Can also shape dough into a rough 8 inch square and score 16 squares and placing into 1 pan. This makes a more rustic biscuit.

These biscuits are really easy. Great with chili and stew! For cheesy biscuits, add 1/2 c cheddar cheese to dry mix.
