2 C brown sugar
3/4 C Lily White syrup
1/2 lb butter
1 tin Eagle Brand Milk
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 tsp vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup, butter and milk in heavy sauce pan. Cook on medium heat for 35 mins, stirring constantly. Add vanilla and vinegar and cook an additional minute. Pour into pan.

Great Grampa Thaell brought this recipe with him when he moved here from England, I would imagine that he got it from his mother or grandmother. Gramma Davis remembers him making it for them at Christmas time as she has done for all of us.
Grampa Davis cut a whole in the spoon to make it easier for Gramma to stir. She still uses the same spoon today.
