1 pound fine white corn meal
1 egg
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
pinch of soda
1 cup buttermilk
Directions:
Directions:
Stir together all ingredients. Add water to make a thick consistency. Drop by spoonfuls into 375º oil; cook until crisp and golden. Remove with slotted spoon and drain.
Serve with fish.
