4 c brusell sprouts (about 1 pound)
1 cup finely chopped red onion (can use white onion also)
2 tsp. bottled minced garlic
2 T olive oil
1/4 dry sherry, water, or chicken broth
1/4 tsp. salt
1/5 tsp. black pepper

Trim stems and remove any wilted outer leaves from Brussel sprouts. Cut in half lengthwise.

I larger skillet, cook onion and garlic in hot oil over medium-low heat about 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Add brussel sprouts, sherry, salt and pepper, toss gently to coat. Cover and cook for 7 to 8 minutes or just until sprouts are tender, stirring occasionally.
