3/4 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 pint sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup ground walnuts
1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time into butter mixture. Mix all dry ingredients and add slowly to creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream and vanilla.

In a small bowl, combine the dark brown sugar, cinnamon, walnuts and 2 tablespoons flour and blend well. Pour nut mixture into batter and fold or swirl until mixed completely.

Grease sides and bottom of a tubed angel food pan. Pour batter into pan and bake at 350º for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into center of cake. Cool in pan for 15-20 minutes, then loosen sides and invert cake unto a wire rack while still warm. When cool dust with powdered sugar.

This recipe was always a favorite of my father and his family. The cake is a Slovenian holiday tradition.
