2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1//3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup sweet butter, softened
1 can (1 lb.) canned pumpkin (or 2cups mashed fresh cooked pumpkin)
1/2 cup blanched almonds, chopped
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

DOUGH: Beat all but 1/2 cup of the flour with the granulated sugar and 3/4 cup of the butter until well-mixed and crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom and sides of a 11x7 pan. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.

ALMOND TOPPING: Combine remaining 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup butter, almonds and brown sugar until evenly mixed. Set aside.

FILLING: Beat condensed milk with pumpkin, eggs and seasonings.

Pour pumpkin mixture into the hot crust, Top with almond mixture and bake at 350º for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out dry. Cool or chill in pan. Cut into squares.
