Ingredients:
2 lbs. round or rump roast ( make sure it has some visible fat for flavor and juice)
1 c. red wine ( burgundy, nothing sweet)
1/8 to 1/4 bottle of italian spices ( or a combination of oregano, basil, and garlic); cloves of garlic.minced or mashed, to taste.

french or italian bread buns

Directions:
Directions:
© Put the red wine, perhaps a little more than 1 cup, in the slow cooker. Add the meat.
Fill the cooker with enough water to cover the top of the meat. Add spices.( I suggest trying 1/8 to 1/4 of a spice container of the combined spices and tasting the broth halfway through cooking. "You can always add extra, but you can't pull it back.

Add garlic cloves, to taste. Cook on high, almost all day. After several hours, taste broth for seasoning and add more, to taste. Meat is done when a fork will break it up.

Slice, chop or shred the meat and serve it on french or italian bread buns with some of the juice.
