1 cup shortening (Crisco)
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

4 c. flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
Beat together shortening (Crisco) and sugar

Beat in eggs and vanilla

Mix well in separate bowl: flour, salt, soda, baking powder and nutmeg

Add:
Dry ingredients alternate with 1 cup sour milk or butter milk. Drop by tsp 3 inch apart on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 425, 10-12 minutes
