Evan's Almond Cookies Recipe

1 c butter, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
1 T water
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 1/4 c flour
1 c ground almonds
1c sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl beat the butter with mixer on high speed for 45 seconds. Add the regular sugar and beat until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Using a large spoon stir in any remaining flour and the almonds. If the dough is dry knead it until it all comes together. Shape the dough into 1 " balls and place 1 " apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in a 325 oven 20 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. After cookies have cooled gently shake the cookies in a plastic bag with the powdered sugar. Makes 36 cookies
