12 lbs. cracklings
3 qts. water
2 gal.water
1/2 gal. water
bread crust

Directions:
Directions:
Boil lye, cracklings & 3 qts water until all ate up. Add 2 gal. water. boil 2 hrs. Add 1/2 gal water. Boil for a few minutes. Add one handful salt. Stir good and take off. Add bread crust to keep from boiling over.
