12 slices bread, crust removed and cut into pieces
16 oz. cream cheese cut into cubes
2 C fresh raspberries
1 dozen eggs, beaten
2 C milk
1/3 C maple syrup
1 C water
1 C sugar
2 T cornstarch
1 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Grease bottom and sides of a 9"x13" pan. Place 1/2 the bread pieces into the dish and scatter the cheese cubes over. Spread 1 C of the raspberries over the top and top with the remaining bread cubes. Whisk together the eggs, milk and syrup and pour over the bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before covering with foil and baking for 30 minutes until puffed up. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan whisk together water, sugar and cornstarch and bring to a boil over medium-high heat or until thickened. Gently fold in 1 C raspberries and butter and stir until butter melts. Serve french toast with the sauce.
