2-3 small cans minced clams
3-4 slices bacon
1 large onion
3-4 Tbsp. flour
2 c. raw diced potatoes
1 bay leaf
4 c. half and half cream

Directions:
Directions:
Drain clams, reserving liquid. Sauté bacon slowly in a 5 qt. sauce pan. Remove bacon, crumble, and set aside. Add the minced onions to the hot bacon grease and cook slowly for about 5 minutes or until onions are tender. Stir in flour until blended. Add enough water to reserved clam juice liquid to make 2 cups and add to pan; add potatoes and bay leaf. Cover and simmer until potato are done but still firm; stirring frequently. Add minced clams, crumbled bacon and half and half, heat thoroughly; but do not boil.
