1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon sour milk
1/2 cup shortening
3 mashed bananas
2 eggs
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, shortening, and eggs. Add sour milk and bananas. Mix dry ingredients together, then add to wet mixture. Can bake as bread or muffins. Bake in a 350 degree oven. For bread, bake in a loaf pan for about 50 minutes or in a muffin tin for about 25 to 30 minutes. Baking is done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

I always like to add wheat germ, oat bran, or any of your other vitamin/fiber goodies. Nuts are a nice addition as well. My personal favorite is pecans. I often use whole wheat flour as well.
