1/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp vanilla

Topping
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup crushed cornflakes

Directions:

Cream shortening & sugar until light and fluffy
Add eggs and beat
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and vanilla that have been combined together
Beat well after each addition. Pour batter into a greased 9 inch cake pan. Bake at 350ºfor 45 minutes Meanwhile melt butter in saucepan Stir in remaining ingredients Spread mixture on hot baked cake. Return to oven golden brown. Cool in pan
