1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 tablespoons water
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
3 cups uncooked oats
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup raisins or cranberries

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the shortening and sugars, beat until blended. Add the eggs, vanilla, and water, beat till light and fluffy. Stir together flour, salt, baking soda,and cinnamon. Add to first mixture and mix completely. Add oatmeal, nuts and raisins until throughly mixed. Bate 10 -12 minutes on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. rounded teaspoons - 1 1/2" - 1/2' thick.
