1 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 can (17oz) cream-style corn
1/4 cup minced onion
1 1/2 cups (6 oz) shredded Cheddar cheese
1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 9-inch square pan.
Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Beat eggs, milk, and oil until blended in medium bowl. Stir in corn and onion. Pour liquid mixture into dry ingredients; stir just until moistened.

Spoon half of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with half of cheese and half of chilies. Cover with remaining batter; top with remaining cheese and chilies. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into squares - serve hot.
Makes 9 to 12 servings.
