1 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. plain M&M's
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening and sugars. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together; add to mixture. Stir in 1/2 cup of the M&M's. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Decorate top with leftover M&M's. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Some cracking should occur. Makes 72 2 1/2 inch cookies.
