1 16-ounce loaf ciabatta or Italian bread
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup purchased basil pesto
4 ounces Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated
(about 1 cup)

Directions:
Directions:
1. With a serrated knife, slice bread in half
horizontally. Brush cut surfaces with olive oil.
Spread pesto on bottom half of bread, sprinkle
with cheese. Replace top half of loaf. Wrap
loaf tightly in heavy foil.

2. Place loaf on charcoal grill rack directly over
medium-low coals. Grill about 12 minutes or
until heated through, turning once (For a gas
grill, preheat, then reduce heat to medium-low.
Place loaf on grill rack over heat. Cover and
grill as above.)
