1 (9 inch) baked pie shell
1½ qt Fresh strawberries
12 oz Package frozen sliced strawberries
½ c. Water
1 c. Sugar
3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
¼ tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and hull one quart strawberries. Drain well and place in baked pie crust. Cook frozen sliced strawberries with water, sugar, salt and cornstarch. Stir and cook over a low heat in a saucepan until mixture is thickened. Add one tablespoon butter. Cool slightly and pour over fresh strawberries in a baked pie shell. Place pie in refrigerator. Allow this to set about 3 hours before serving. Serve, topped with whipped cream.
