Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 turkey legs (about 2 1/2#) If drumsticks are large you might plan on one for 2 servings (obviously this is not true for our family!)

1/4 c flour
1/2 t salt
1/4 t chili powder
dash pepper
3 T shortening

Sauce:
1/3 c water
1/3 c catsup
3T brown sugar
3T vinegar
2T prepared mustard
2 T worc sauce
1/2 t salt
dash cayenne & dash pepper
1 lemon slice
1/2 med onion, sliced
4 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a paper or plastic bag: combine flour, 1/2 t salt, chili powder and dash pepper. Add turkey legs, one at a time and shake to coat. Melt shortening in large skillet. Add turkey legs and brown on all sides.

In saucepan, combine remaining ingredients; simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes. Pour over turkey. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 - 2 hrs until tender, basting turkey frequently with sauce. (I have put this in the crock-pot at this point and let it cook throughout the day on low)

Nana gave me this recipe when the kids were young. I would cook it in the crockpot--easy!
