3 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2-3 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Place all ingredients in a heavy pan. Boil to a hardball stage. Do not stir. Add vanilla or flavor with Jello. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet. When cool enough to handle, butter hands and pull until white. Pull into a long rope and notch. When cool, break into pieces at notches. This candy becomes hard. Wrap in plastic wrap to store.
