Directions:Empty all 4 cans of tomato puree in to large pot and turn on low. (Doubling the burner grates will help to keep the bottom of pot from burning). Peal onion and add whole to pot. Clean and half pepper removing the seeds and add both halves to pot. Trim the fat off of the three pork chops and brown in a skillet with a little olive oil. While pork chops are browning add the rest of the ingredients to the sauce stirring until well blended. Add the pork chops to sauce. Once sauce is warm add a two pound bag of your favorite frozen meatballs (while still frozen) into the sauce. Simmer on very low heat for the next 6 hours. If you would like to make your own meatballs do the following; Empty 2 lbs of ground chuck into large mixing bowl. Add ¼ lb of Italian style bread crumbs plus ingredients 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, and ½ a diced cooking onion. Mix well by hand. Roll into desired size balls. Brown them in a skillet using a little olive oil. Add them to warmed sauce. |
