Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups quick oatmeal
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt and mix until combined. Fold in oatmeal and chocolate chips by hand. The batter will be very thick and stiff. Spread into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Edges will be golden brown, but middle should still be slightly soft. It will fall a bit as it cools; this gives it a chewy texture.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
These are a fast way to enjoy the taste of chocolate chip cookies, without all the rolling. My kids love these, and they are great for school lunches because they are a sturdier square.
