1 cup chopped dates
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups crispie rice cereal
3/4 cup pecans or walnuts
1 cup flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dates, sugar, butter and egg in heavy skillet. Melt over low heat and cook for about 5 minutes on low heat, until bubbly. Remove from heat, add vanilla, rice cereal and nuts. When cool enough to handle, roll into small balls and roll in coconut.
