1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
2/3 cup lg white onion, chopped
1/3 cup garlic, chopped
1 quart chicken base
1 quart heavy cream
2/3 quart half n half
6-7 large Red potatoes (baked - cubed, small)
Shredded mild cheddar cheese
Green onion tops, chopped

Directions:
Boil small cubed potatoes to just barely done or microwave till no longer crunchy - drain potatoes. Saute chopped onion and garlic till tender. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT cheddar cheese and green onions in a large soup pot. Bring just to a boil and let simmer on very very low heat for 1/2-1 hour or can put in crock pot on low for 4-6 hours. If you need to thicken, use corn starch according to directions. Serve in bowls with cheddar cheese and chopped green onions on top.
