3 cups fresh green beans, with ends snapped off and washed.
1/2 to 1 cup chopped onion
1/4 package bacon, cut into 1" pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Boil green beans in some water until they start to get tender, approx. 10 minutes. Put the onion and bacon in a large frying pan and brown while stirring every couple of minutes. Cook until the bacon is pretty much done. Add the drained green beans to the bacon and onions. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes. Salt and pepper to your taste.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
You can substitute frozen green beans but you won't have to boil them first. You can also substitute canned green beans. You don't boil them first and they will only cook in the bacon for about 5 minutes.
