3 cups uncooked regular oats
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup sunflower seed kernels
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Directions:

Combine oats, wheat germ, sunflower seed kernels, pecans, and sesame seeds in a bowl. Set aside. Cook butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Stir in corn syrup. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour syrup mixture evenly over oats mixture, tossing to coat well. Spread evenly in a lightly greased broiler pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes stirring 3 times. Set timer for 10 minutes, stir, another 10 minutes, stir and then 5 minutes. This will burn easily. Store in airtight container. It will keep about one month. Serve over vanilla yogurt with fresh fruit.
