Place 1 c. sugar in heavy saucepan and heat over low heat...do not melt. Add 2 squares of butter, 2 T. cold water and cook and stir until dissolved. Boil, stirring constantly until desired color is reached (which is a light golden or tan color), about 7 minutes. Pour mixture over 1 bag corn puff curls.

Stir to blend and then break it up into little globs.
