4-6 slices bacon
1 small onion, chopped
6-8 sliced potatoes
1 large diced carrot
water
2 c. raw, chopped shrimp
1 (6 1/2 oz.) can clams
1 (8 oz.) bottle clam juice or 2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans chopped clams
milk
black pepper to taste

Directions:
Cook bacon until crisp in 4 1/2 quart saucepan. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sauté onion in bacon drippings until tender. To pot, add potatoes, carrot and enough hot water to cover vegetables. Cook until tender. Add shrimp, clams and juice and cook until shrimp turns pink. Add enough milk to make consistency you like. Pepper to taste and add crumbled bacon. Heat but do not boil. Serve.
