1 qt. heavy cream (Half and Half)
1 tbsp. chicken base (the crumbly base you find in a jar)
1/2 lb. asiago cheese
1 tbsp. cornstarch disolved in 1 tbsp. water
1 lb. bow tie pasta
6 slices diced bacon (approx. 1/2 package)
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 diced onion
1 tsp. minced garlic
4 oz. sliced mushrooms
1 lb. cooked chicken - cubed

Directions:
Directions:
Add cream to a large pot with the chicken base and bring to boil.
Add the Asiago Cheese and stir until melted.
Add cornstarch and water and keep stirring. As soon as the sauce thickens, remove from the heat. Sauce may be made up 48 hours in advance.
Boil pasta accordingly.
While pasta is cooking, heat large skillet and add bacon. Cook until crisp and drain on paper towel. Remove bacon fat from pan and add a tsp. of oil to fry chicken in. Saute quickly till golden brown.
Add onion, garlic and mushrooms and saute for 4-5 minutes until onions are soft and transparent.
Add sauce to the pan and heat through.
Toss with pasta and bacon bits.
Garnish with chopped tomatoes and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
