3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. banana flavoring
2 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 5)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour

Frosting:
6 tbsp. brown sugar
4 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. margarine

Cookies:
Cream the shortening and sugar. Add egg, flavorings and bananas; beat well. Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl and then add to creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake in 350º for 10 minutes

Frosting:
Bring ingredients to a boil. Take off heat and add powdered sugar to spreading consistency. Add small amount of salt and then spread onto cookies.
