1 1/2 lb. hamburger
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
1 tbsp. allspice
1 1/2 c. Wheaties or corn flakes, crushed
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
2 cans beef broth
2 tbsp. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter in a skillet on medium heat.
Lightly beat the eggs and add to the hamburger, milk, allspice, Wheaties/corn flakes, and salt.
Knead together and roll into small meatballs, 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Brown the meatballs.
When all the meatballs are browned, add the beef broth and simmer for 20 minutes.
Remove the meatballs from the broth.
Whisk the flour into the broth and allow to thicken at a light boil.

My grandfather's sisters got into "spirited discussions" about whether meatballs should be made with Wheaties or corn flakes. I prefer Wheaties. This is a traditional Christmas Eve feast in my family.
