In bowl mix together and set aside:
2 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. granulated sugar
2-4 T. lemon juice

In 9x13 (or thereabouts) dish layer in the following order:

3/4 head lettuce, torn up
3/4 c. chopped celery
4-5 hard boiled eggs, chopped
3/4 c. frozen peas
3/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. cooked, crumbled bacon

Spread mayo mixture on top.
Sprinkle with grated longhorn or cheddar cheese
1-2 cups (your preference)..
