1 box vanilla cake mix
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup maple syrup
FROSTING
2 sticks butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp maple extract
1 lb powdered sugar
2 tbs milk or water (more if needed)

Preheat over to 350 degrees
CAKE
Prepare cake mix according to directions on box. Mix cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup into batter. Pour into cupcake baking cups and bake for 13-15 mins.
FROSTING
In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, cream together butter, maple extract, and milk beating on medium speed until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, on low speed until completely incorporated. Add tsp of water or milk while adding powdered when needed.
Once cupcakes are cool, frost and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
