3/4 lb beef - cubed
3/4 lb pork - cubed
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2-1 cup diced onions(cook's discretion)
4 cloves garlic minced
2 cups boiling water
2 bouillon cubes(drop into boiling water until dissolved)
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 can bean sprouts
1 sm. can sliced water chestnuts
1 ~ 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms
2-3 cups celery cut diagonally
1 tbsp dark molasses
4 tbsp corn starch
4 tbsp water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat lightly. Add onion, garlic, bouillion water, salt and soy sauce. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add celery, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, mushrooms & molasses. Cover and cook 3 minutes.
Make paste of cornstarch and water. Stir into chow mein mixture until thick. Let set about 5 minutes.
Serve with rice(recommend brown) and crunchy chow mein noodles.
serves 4.
