2 bags frozen french-style green beans
3 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp flour
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 cups milk (NO SKIM!)
2 bags real bacon bits
1 container French Fried onions
2 cups shredded Co-Jack cheese

Directions:
Directions:
*Preheat oven to 350*. Put green beans in a strainer. Soak in a sinkful of warm water for 3 minutes. Empty sink then let beans drain completely.

*While beans are draining, melt butter in a medium saucepan. Then add onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until onions are tender. Add flour and cook 30 seconds.

*Slowly whisk in milk and bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Season with salt and pepper. Taste. Should be slightly salty and able to coat a spoon.

*Put well-drained green beans in a large bowl. Add sauce, bacon, cheese and 1 cup of French-Fried onions. Mix very well. Taste and season again if needed.

*Pour into a lightly greased 13×9 pan. Cover with foil and bake 40 minutes.

*Remove foil and top casserole with remaining French Fried onions. Bake additional 10 minutes or until onions are crispy.
