2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c. (2 sticks) softened butter
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
2 c. (12 oz. pkg) semi-sweet Nestle chocolate morsels
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift flour, soda, and salt. Set aside. Blend softened butter, brown and white sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs, beating well. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Fold in chocolate morsels and if desired, favorite chopped nuts. Drop small spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 9-11 minutes.

It's been said that mine are the best! Always use real Land of the Lakes butter, Nestle real semi-sweet morsels, and dark brown Imperial sugar. I have learned that parchment paper on the cookie sheets makes them easier to handle and less clean up, since the recipe says not to grease the cookie sheets.
